Fresh into stock this week is this uber chic 1993 w124 cabriolet. The w124 showcases Mercedes’ world renowned engineering and quality at its very best, produced in an era when they really knew how to build a car.
This particular vehicle has had just 3 former keepers from new and comes with a fantastic service history folder. Low mileage of only 111000 from new .
Those familiar with this model will understand the issues that plague the w124’s electronics (on all models) mainly the engine wiring loom; a poor original design - the loom sits atop the cylinder head and the heat off the engine causes the loom to perish - the solution being a full rebuild of the loom or replacement from MB (both expensive options!) Upon inspection our car fortunately has had the loom recently replaced - so no issues to worry about there.
The colour combination is a beautiful period nautic blue with contrasting cream leather interior and a matching blue hood. The bodywork is in super all round condition with no rust - the vehicle also benefits from having a full machine polish carried out by ourselves this week.
We are in the process of preparing this car for sale which includes a full reconnolisation of the leather interior aswell as a brand new hood being fitted by an expert trimmer due to the old one having some unsightly wear marks.
