This is a remarkably original survivor car, it has never been welded and has a completely original and unspoiled interior. The dashboard can only be described as perfect and the car has never been modified or messed with in any way. It even features the original valve radio which is fully working, in fact everything works as it should. If it has been repainted it must have been done a long time ago, but there are no signs of overspray, just a gentle patina appropriate to a 58 year old car. Of course it is not 100%, it bears a little evidence of its age but this simply gives it charm.
This car was originally from Minnesota and was imported into the UK in 2013. Although there is no history with it, we understood that the car had clocked up some 34, 000 gentle miles before being locked away in a barn for 40 years. The mileage cannot be verified, but the condition of the car supports it. We bought it from the UK importer and it has had gentle use, mainly as a wedding car ever since. As such it has always had an annual MOT test and been maintained to ensure reliability. Since we have owned this car it has had the front suspension re-bushed, new front brake shoes, brake master cylinder, water pump and thermostat. It also has had a new custom made but standard exhaust system, this car is quiet.
