Similar to the likes of BMW tuning specialists Alpina, AC Schnitzer’s pedigree is founded in motorsport, the Schnitzer racing team, with many successful years under their belt in BMW championships and DTM. Recent developments from AC Schnitzer have included performance upgrades for BMW, MINI as well as Range Rover and Jaguar. Their high quality products provide an image and driving experience which is not to be missed, a statement that is certainly valid for the vehicle we have on display here!
This scarcely known about gem; the ACS3 C30, was actually adapted from the E46 330 and it was even offered in the BMW model brochure as a new car manufacturer option. The car received specially developed AC Schnitzer components including; Suspension, brakes, Exhaust system, wheels, body styling, interior trim and most importantly – a centrifugal Supercharger unit! The ACS3 C30’s not only looked and handled better than their already admirable 330i Sport siblings; but also gave performance similar to that of the BMW M3, making them a real wolf in sheep’s clothing for their owners to enjoy.
Even though the ACS3 C30 received strong and positive reviews at the time of its launch, unbelievably this particular example is one of less than 20 cars produced! With the original owner specifying the car to look as subtle and understated as possible, it truly is an extremely competent, rare and collectible machine for any BMW enthusiast or collector. Like the majority of our cars here at Renaissance Classic Sports Cars; this vehicle comes with a comprehensive provenance and history portfolio, including the original Driver’s Manual, original AC Schnitzer brochure, AC Schnitzer fitting guide, stamped maintenance book and black leather BMW wallet.
