This genuine Series 2 Land Rover was registered in Cardiff on 30th May 1960 as VKG 464.
Chassis number is the details below making it a short wheelbase Home Market petrol 2. 25 1960 model year.
The number plate is valuable and transferable but it would be a shame to part them after all these years.
Up to date V5 present.
Bronze green.
Original chassis plate present on the bulkhead.
VKG or Viking as she is known will need a full restoration as it has been off the road for a long time.
The bulkhead will need considerable work so it would be quicker to buy a new one!
The chassis is redeemable with some welding.
The 2. 25 petrol engine turns over freely but has not been run.
Seems all complete with lots of correct period features incl screw vents, 3 bolt tailgate, flat valance panel, original wiper motors and lots more.
Series 2 Land Rovers were only made for approx 3 years so are much rarer than a 2a.
This will make a great restoration project with values increasing all the time.
