Here we have immaculate presented Austin A40 Summerset first registered 19. 1. 1954 displaying just over 62, 000 miles. this car has an incredible history file with all receipts and paper work and corresponding letters, All documented from 1954 to present day. the history file even contains its original bill of sale brought from Hargreaves and bailey ltd showroom 39 41 king street Blackpool, costing 706 10 shillings and 4 pence. Also containing an original insurance documents from 1954 costing £17 15 shillings both documents are in incredible condition no tears what so ever.
It has a remarkable history file registered to a professor in its life, history files do not come like this often all documented PLEASE SEE PHOTOS
The Austin A40 has been beautifully restored to a bare metal re-spray all window rubbers was removed and on completion fitted with new ones. it has a total glass shine in this stunning black. the interior, carpets, roof lining are absolutely in tip top condition. It still contains its original tool kit, even the tires have all been replaced with classic Michelin at a very expensive cost and not the cheap budget tires
If your looking at a classic car of this quality with all the chrome work bumpers, grill door handles etc have all been done and really does compliment the black paint work
Some of these Austin A40 summerset have warn gear changes because all the linkages, this one goes into gear so smoothly without fault what so ever. The underneath of the car is rock solid, I have driven this car through our local country roads and what a total pleasure it is.
