1987 Ford Capri 280 Brooklands. Unrestored and apart from receiving a professional high-quality repaint 6 years ago remains in otherwise original condition. Factory panelling and dark grey leather Recaro seats piped in red with the Brooklands Green paintwork presenting in immaculate order. Original 2. 8 Cologne V6 engine and 5-speed manual gearbox and fitted as standard with PAS, steel sunroof, pull-out radio, Limited Slip Differential and larger 15-inch alloy wheels - and a later upgraded alloy radiator.
As most will know Ford’s SVE department was given the job of producing a special and final run for the Capri line. The result was the 280 Brooklands. They were only made in small numbers and turned out to be one of the best and most highly equipped of all the Capri’s proving highly desirable and collectable.
Displaying 133290 miles with a History File back to 1993 this particular Brooklands has spent most of the last 12 years in storage covering just a few miles between trips out for its annual MOT. Being stored for so long it needed to be re-commissioned, checked over and serviced. This has included a new fuel tank, fuel pump and filter and a major service with new seals, plugs, leads, filters and oil. It will be supplied with a new MOT at point of sale and a 6-month warranty - extendable for up to 2 years.
Comes complete with its original book pack, spare wheel, tools and copy invoices for all recent expenditure carried out by ourselves.
