I have owned this car for less than two years, and can honesty say it's been the best classic I've had!
If needed the 2300cc engine will happily do the national speed limit. The 4 speed column shift gearbox is easy to use with the two overdrive in 3rd/ 4th in the centre of the steering wheel, clicking effortlessly in place.
For a 61 year old car it's in great shape. The chassis in solid, breaks good, tires excellent. Starts first time every time, with all the dials operating as they should.
As you probably know, the Tax is free and the car is M. O. T. exempt. However I have recently had a full service done by B Modern Classics of Newburn, and would confidently drive the anywhere having just been from Newcastle-upon-Tyne to Bristol and back without any issues.

Having said that it's not perfect. The paint is very good but there is a small amount of rust underneath on the bottom of two doors, which has been there since I have had the car and not got any worse.(see picture)
Passenger door needs to be shut firmly to close properly.
Seats are original, and there is a little tear in the drivers which could do with repairing before it gets worse.(see picture)
Oh, and I can't get the radio to work!
That's it! I my humble opinion your getting a wonderful car for the price, which is NONE negotiable as a dealer is offering very little below this price, and is a lot less than what I paid.
I've been very honest about the car and expect to be treated fairly. I will tolerate no tire kickers, dreamers, or would be dealers out to make a quick profit.
The price is very good for this car, and I am in no hurry to sell. However due to my wife's health we need to move in the future, I don't want to have to make sure the bungalow has a garage, so I am very reluctantly selling.
Any genuine person is very welcome to come and have a look. If the weather is nice (with no salt on the road) I would be happy to take you out for a run. In fact I will encourage it as I love driving her.
