This 1953 Ford Sunliner is one of the very first Indianapolis 500 Pace Cars to be produced.
In 1953, the Golden Jubilee for Henry Ford and Ford got the honor to build the first pace cars for the Indy 500.
The Ford Pace Cars were built in an edition of 2, 000 pieces, which makes the Ford a much sought after collector piece.
The Pace Car comes in his original color "White Sungate Ivory" and "Anniversary Gold". The paint is in very good condition and the chrome is also in excellent condition.
All pace cars are equipped with a 239CID Ford Flathead V8 engine and have 110 hp.
The transmission is a Fordomatic automatic transmission.
