Here we have for sale a rebuilt Land Rover ® Series 3 in popular petrol configuration. We believe that the rebuild occurred in recent years and this involves the replacement of the chassis and obvious other improvements to both the footwells, body and paint. The resulting vehicle is a very solid, pleasing example of this marque. The vehicle, despite its rebuild remains in very standard specification, something which we like to see. All the cappings are in original galvanised finish and the bodywork is pleasingly presented in straight order with a better than usual paint finish. There is a handy towbar with electrics and uprated Defender door mirrors for more practical modern driving.
The interior fit and quality very much reflects that of the exterior of the vehicle. The dash is completely standard and there are a recent set of seats fitted with inertia reel belts to two of them. A deluxe mat set completes this pleasing period look. The rear is currently unfitted and houses the spare but benches may be fitted if so desired.
Out on the road, this desirable Series 3 drives just as it should - it pulls really well, even from cold, and steers and brakes very well for a vehicle of this type and age. The engine is unusually quiet and helps to give a very 'sorted' feel to this lovely vehicle.
In summary, if you are looking for a smart Series 3 petrol, and want to dodge some of the inherent corrosion elements that one has to attend to regularly, then this smart truck certainly stands out.
