We are delighted to present this very rare ground up restored 1972 Fiat 500 Giardiniera for sale. This 500 has been subjected to the most comprehensive restoration including a full engine and gearbox rebuild.
As you can see from the photos the bodywork is exceptional. This 500 was subject to a bare frame metal repaint. The finish is second to none inside and out. The bodywork is of show standard. At this time all door seals were replaced also.
As for the interior is pretty much the same inside as it is outside. All interior paint is new and all the controls and buttons work as they should. All rubber floor mats have been replaced along with new carpet overmats. The seats, door cards and sun roof material has all been replaced lending to that new car feel.
Mechanically this 500 is as spot on as you can get. I have recently driven back from Europe in this car and driven well over 1500 miles. The engine and gearbox were rebuilt at the time of restoration including a new clutch. The engine performs perfectly and starts without one puff of smoke.
Most recently all the braking system was refurbished including new brake pipes, cylinders and pads. The fuel tank and pipes were also replaced at this time including a full suspension rebuild.
In conclusion, this is a chance to own a very rare 500 Giardiniera. Not many of these cars still survive, especially in this condition. Complete with restoration invoices and Italian club documentation. This is one of, if not the best available in Europe.
