1980 Ford Escort MK2 Mexico Replica built about 10 years ago on a 3 owner factory yellow, 56K miles UK 2 Door. Very solid and original. Fitted with 2. 0 Pinto and all the right bits its ready to go. Current MOT is here with the V5
Body - Uk Mk2 2 door factory yellow car which started life as a pop plus. Original inner wings and strut tops. Floors are all original as are sills and arches by the look of it. Only ever had a repair on spare wheel well. Very tidy straight car. Paintwork is nice with only a couple of very minor marks and some very small bubbles on bottom of passenger door. Overall car is very original, extremely solid and tidy. Mexico decals fitted, quarter bumpers. Good doors, bootlid , bonnet. Uk cars dont come like this very often as most have now had the shells restored. Shell was ziebarted from new which has no doubt saved it
Interior - Good dash top, Rs steering wheel, Mint chocolate brown RS Recaros and matching back seat, Uncut mint chocolate brown door cards. Good carpet. Standard dashclocks
Mechanics - 2. 0 Pinto with Alloy sump, alloy bellhousing and mounts, 4 Branch manifold and ashley exhaust, 5 speed gearbox, capri 2. 8 bilstein struts with drilled vented discs, RS 9" rear drums, tramp bars, 3. 54 diff, 38 DGAS carb. Car starts runs and drives well and feels quite tight. Still showing only 56000 Miles.
Wheels - Polished RS alloys which are ok but could do with a bit elbow grease to bring them up better.
