We supplied this in 2015 to the last owner. who reports it’s been utterly reliable whilst with him.
There is military history and number supplied in the substantial documentation, which indicates that it served with the Air Support Signals Regt before being demobbed in 1998
In addition to all this, it was professionally rebuilt onto a a new galvanised chassis in 2003, for which there is an invoice.
Former keepers have maintained it well, and have carried out lots of desirable improvements - including polybushing all round, a recon gearbox in 2011, brand new clutch 2011, new twin tanks (correct items), new rear half shafts, new rear shockers, new brakes all round with drums, new exhaust system etc etc.
This culminates in a rather special lightweight - low indicated mileage, galvanised chassis, good history, well maintained.... and still sports most of the items you would hope to see on a period lightweight (NATO towhook, split tailgate, bumperettes, lifting eyes, late style wheelarch lips etc etc) –
Bulkhead and outer panel wise it’s in really straight dent-free shape
In 2003, an LPG system was added, although the previous owner reports he’s hardly used it as he preferred to run it on petrol. Nevertheless it is there and it can run on LPG, but the system could easily be removed for more originality
It comes with MOT to September 2019, and 6 months warranty on sale
