Rover P6B 3500S – Restored/ Five Speed Gearbox
Rover introduced the 3500S in late 1973. Retaining all the refinement expected of the P6 range the manual transmission V8 delivered over 120mph with 0/ 60 performance in just nine seconds and was well received by press & public alike.
Milestone Classics are delighted to bring to market an absolutely remarkable Rover 3500s that is a real testament to the skill, knowledge and commitment of the last owner. Owned for nearly 20 years a full structural & mechanical restoration of the car was completed between 2002 and 2005.
Work included:
· All corrosion was removed and replaced with new metal
· The car was resprayed in pearlescent British racing green
· Engine bay detailed to show standard
· Rebuilt/ upgraded SD1 engine fitted including
gas flowed head
high lift cams/ high rev lifters/ double-coiled valve springs
enlarged oil ways
free flow s/ s exhaust
Edelbrock carburetor & extreme air filter
Upgraded distributor/ electronic ignition
· SD1 five speed gearbox fitted with all bushes/ linkage replaced
· Interior carpets replaced
· Continental touring spare wheel kit and period sun roof reconditoned
The large history file contains MOTs, invoices, tax discs data on the restoration back to 1980’s and a DVLA summary of previous owners.
Today the P6 drives as good as it looks. With superb acceleration, effortless cruising, addictive soundtrack and an exceptional level of comfort this is a remarkable classic that will provide huge enjoyment to the lucky new owner.
