Austin Cambridge A55 Mk 2 – Show Winner
The A55 Cambridge Mark II, is the first "Farina" model designed by Pininfarina and was produced from 1959 through to 1961. The car retained the 1. 5 litre B-Series engine of the previous model but featured a new trans-Atlantic look with high “Cathedral” fins and optional two-tone paintwork. Many cars ended their lives at the Banger Races and good examples now are highly prized
Milestones are delighted to offer this remarkable Austin A55 finished in two-tone Farina Grey/ Tartan Red with optional two tone interior in the same colours. Formally the property of Roy Presdee the car is well known in the club and is in better condition than when it was two years old..
The Cambridge has been the subject of a full nut and bolt restoration including:
All mechanical parts and transmission renewed or reconditioned
All running gear/ rear leaf springs reconditioned
Are metal repaint
Full rewire
All chrome rechromed or replaced
Stainless steel window frames replaced
Window channels replaced
Front & rear screen rubbers replaced when new headlining fitted
All door cards are original
Dash stripped/ refurbished & steering wheel re-lacquered
Boot re-lined
New carpets
The car comes with a large history file containing invoices, MOT’s, handbooks, broachers etc. and needs to be seen and driven to be fully appreciated.
