A Jersey registered car from new and owned by a wealthy hotelier for a fair proportion of its later life. It was his pride and joy and he happily lavished considerable amounts of £££'s on the car improving its condition - it was periodically in our restoration workshops having work undertaken. The car was often seen parked in pride of place outside his hotel in one of the prettiest bays in Jersey - St Brelade's Bay.
Sadly, ill health meant the car had to go and it came into our possession and joined our fleet of classic hire cars here in Jersey.
During that time it was well maintained, dry stored and well looked after. Apart from a few hires for special occasions (weddings, anniversaries) however, it did not hire out so well and it was decided to replace it with other cars to refresh the hire fleet.
In 2021 the car had works undertaken with attention to the brakes and general servicing. Prior to that there are records of work undertaken every year by ourselves.
This is a good example of a Rover P4, with £10, 000's spent on professional restoration work over the years and comes with a comprehensive history file.
The car is now located at our store in Dorset for ease of viewing, which will be by appointment only. If sold into the UK, VAT would apply at 5%.
