Ford Escort MK3 1100L , 2 Door 1982
1100L ‘E’ 2 Door Registered 1982 , 49k miles , all original panels (other than battery tray ) . MOT , excellent A1 condition not concourse but could be taken to that level if that is your thing.
Modifications all bolt on items no structural mods
Suspension
New Apex suspension all round lowered 60mm , new clutch and diff seals, all bottom arms treated and painted fitted with new polly bushes. New bearings and TRE’s
Brakes
New callipers , discs pads, , shoes , wheel cylinders and flexible pipes.
Wheels
Fully refurbished XR3 Alloys with Avon V3 Tyres all round
Engine
Fully serviced , new radiator, plugs , points etc. recently fitted. new heater matrix.
New windscreen, new genuine ford grill and bumper end caps , new petrol cap . New Exhaust.
Hardly done any mileage in the last 6 years always dry stored and usually only has dry use .
All gauges etc, There aren’t that many of them ) work ,
Good points
Genuine low mileage, low owners , very solid and nearly fully rust free , has been fully wax oiled underneath and cavities, undamaged interior . very reliable , easy and cheap to maintain mechanicals . Appreciating classic , desirable and rare 2 door apparently less than 6 left on the road in UK .
Bad points
Engine bay is as original and would perhaps benefit from a repaint and detailing if you want to go concourse. Paintwork although good does have some shade changes where it has been previously painted.
Not the original radio fitted. Some scratch marks on the front side windows .
