1931 Austin Seven 'RM' Saloon
The ‘RM’ Series Austin 7 was introduced on the 7thJanuary 1931 and this example has had only 5 former owners since new. The original owner had the car for 64 years and he took it to Zimbabwe in 1943 and returned 50 years later (hence the age-related registration).
Four years ago, the car underwent a full repaint and was not apparently in need of major work as it had survived extremely well in the Zimbabwe climate. A re-trim was also undertaken – this being material as close to the original ‘wool rep’ as could be obtained.
Recent work has included a rear axle rebuild and a reconditioned dynamo.
Very smartly presented – this delightful little Austin 7 Saloon is the last series of the short wheel base models and comes with various bills, etc.
Running extremely well – this car is ready to enjoy!
