Here we have a totally unique Chimaera 400 which has been carefully upgraded and developed by its last enthusiast owner! He had the ambition of creating a truly one-off TVR to keep forever, however an ankle injury means that he had to go down the route of an automatic car!
This is a three-owner ’99 Chimaera with a superb service history forming the ideal basis for its development. The engine has the ‘SC Power’ Supercharger Kit fitted complete with an Intercooler, a full set of ACT Stainless Steel Manifolds have also been fitted. A replacement Radiator combined with a full set of silicone hoses takes car of the cooling. The Brakes have been upgraded with the fitting of Brembo 4-pot calipers and larger discs, and braided hoses all round. Uprated Suspension with adjustable shock absorbers, new springs and rear drop links. Lovely SP12 Alloy Wheels fitted with 18? to the rear and 17? to the front with ‘Rainsport 3’ Tyres.
A Convertible Hard Top arrangement has been fitted and the car treated to a custom full repaint in Burnt Orange Pearl, a three-stage paint finish incorporating glass crystals within the clear coat which looks amazing in the sunshine! The interior has been colour-changed and a pair of Leather-trimmed MX5 seats fitted to give more space for the driver and passenger.
