This fabulous Morgan was despatched by the factory in December 1956, to the dealership of Basil Roy in London W1, and after many years of use it ended up in a barn, before being purchased in 2004 by an 80 year old Morgan enthusiast who totally restored the car to a very high standard. At this time, the car was fitted with several modifications to provide a more modern drive, and this has been totally successful. It now has a Ford 1600 Kent engine with Webber carburettor, mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The car has plenty of power and performs very well. The suspension was given an upgrade at all four corners, with gas telescopic shockers. Front disc brakes were fitted, as was a centre backbone to the chassis, to reduce flex. The car handles well and offers a good ride with smooth transmission, engine etc. The mileage since restoration is approximately 10, 000. In probably the best colour for this car of Indigo Blue, the paintwork is pretty much immaculate, as is the interior. Hood, sidescreens and tonneau are all excellent, with only one hood button missing. The blue wire wheels are spot-on, the tyres are excellent and everything on the car works properly - a top quality machine. Good history file including authentication letter from Morgan, V5C.
