Description

Sadly it's time to part with this incredible machine.

I bought this bike directly from the builder Nigel from Oil, Sweat and Gears:

earlier this year. He built it last year, put around 100 miles on it to dial in and make sure it's all sweet, documented it and got it featured in The Return of the Cafe Racers:

and also as one of the Custom Bikes of the Week on Bike EXIF website:

I rode the bike a handful of times only in good weather putting around 300 miles on the clock, that included a Sunday ride to Brighton recently, and I can say the bike is an absolute dream to ride. Modern suspension makes the bike handle superbly, while old classic in-line four gives a thrill of riding a vintage bike. Unfortunately my life situation changed and I'm only in the position of keeping a rugged cheap daily commuter and need to part with my Sunday dream machine.

In the link above you can read the article on what went into making this unique bike and see more pictures, no cost nor man-hours were spared on this creation. Below the list of modifications and if you want to read on history of GPZ (these things are getting rare these days) you can read a brilliant article here:

- details above

Period correct Davida swing arm
Vintage Hagon shocks in excellent condition
18’’ GPZ1100 rear wheel
Yamaha Fazer modern shocks with blue spot brake callipers
18’’ Z1300 front wheel
LED taillight and headlight
Motogadget L-Blaze LED indicators
One-off handmade fibre glass fairing
Clip-on handlebars
Daytona Velona digital speedo/ rev counter
GT550 fuel tank
KOSO electronic fuel gauge
Reshaped and reupholstered seat
Motogadget M-Lock contactless ignition
Ceracoated Harris exhaust headers
Danmoto GP muffler (sounds the business, not too loud, classic in-line four roar)
620cc big bore kit, rest stock for longevity
Everything either lacquered or powder coated
New battery last year
Bespoke tidy wiring system

The only thing that needs to be done is rev counter needs adjusting as sometimes it acts up. There's an adjustable rev controller, but I just haven't got around doing it. Everything else works as it should.

To conclude, the bike is in immaculate showroom condition and has only done around 400 miles since the full rebuild and will come with 12 months of MOT upon sale. Also I have the dyno test confirming 52. 6hp on back wheel, plenty of receipts, some old MOTs, and instructions to the ignition switch, fuel gauge and speedometer.
