1971 VOLVO P1800E COUPE
This marvellous p1800 coupe has just arrived in part exchange with us this week against one of our other classic Volvo’s we sold to an enthusiast in Cumbria. This has been the last owners pride and joy for the past 6 years, prior to that a single owner for 15 years. A club enthusiast, this has been used on many classic car trips over the years and although exempt has still been MOT’d annually. It comes supplied with 2 sets of keys.
Comes complete with a huge portfolio of history documenting how well looked after this car has been. Both of the screens have been recently replaced at huge expense (a big delamitation issue on this model). Everything works just as it should both electrically and mechanically. Prospective purchasers are welcome (and positively encouraged ) to call me to discuss the maintenance record on this car.
All the interior trim is in excellent condition with no rips or tears to the leather seats, as is the headlining. The carpets have been replaced at some point so are in great condition also. The dashboard displays no signs of cracking (normally an issue also) .
All the chrome work is in excellent condition also with no heavy pitting or corrosion problems either.
The paintwork has been repainted in the past and the colour has remained extremely bright as it has been regularly waxed and polished. To the trained eye they are now some small blemishes starting to show through such as some micro blistering on the roof and some older silicon reactions which may or may not polish out. I am pointing this out as 1) we like to describe our vehicles correctly and 2) the car is still a very presentable car overall. We have chosen to sell the car at an extremely good price allowing for the fact as we have a workshop backing up with cars currently! The last one we had earlier in the year achieved £26500 and was only marginally better than this car on the body. With a high quality re paint this is a £30k plus vehicle so allows for plenty of scope.
