Recently been recommissioned after being dry stored for 22 years. Unrestored, 4 owner vehicle, with no rust or welding underneath, a true testament to the fact that it hasn’t been exposed to the salty British roads for a very very long time. The chassis is solid and shows no signs of corrosion. The Range Rover has low mileage of approximately 150k miles, although the speedo was changed 39k miles ago (original comes with the car). Beautifully running 3. 5l V8 engine. We have put 350 miles on it since recommissioning the car and it hasn’t skipped a beat, and averaged 14mpg!! Unlike most Range Rovers of this era, it is in very original condition with only age related cosmetics needing attention. We bought the car as a non-runner as the immobiliser was preventing the car from firing. Four door example with teddy bear interior. This is a great car to drive and will still cruise down the motorway happily at 65-70mph without any effort. Extensive service receipts, and MOTs from 1990 onwards.

This car would make an excellent addition to someones collection that does not mind investing a little bit to make it a truly stunning example. This is one of the last of the exposed bonnet hinge range rovers, recognisable by the distinct metal vertical grill and positioning of the side indicators. This is also the first year the LT77-53A “short stick” 5 speed gearbox was mated to the 3. 5l V8.
As mentioned, the range rover has been barn/ workshop stored for 22 years of its 34 year existence. You will not be battling any rust and it has been commended by Range Rover specialists and mechanics. It is not a perfect example, but it is not far off
We’ve decided to sell the vehicle simply because it is too much of a financial drain(insurance, tax & fuel) being university students and owning two 1980s Land Rover. Therefore, with regret, this sought after classic is for sale.
