Vintage and Prestige are proud to offer this 1937 Rolls-royce 25/ 30 Six Light Limousine Coachwork by Rippon Brothers.

GAR 28 was sold directly to Rippon Brothers Limited who supplied the elegant 6-Light limousine Coachwork, with division and sunroof. YAJ 717 remained in the UK until 1963 when she was exported to the USA.
Mr Phillip Kassal (California) was the custodian of GAR 28 for the next quarter of a century, regular maintenance was carried out by MR Kassal, and there are invoices on file. In 1988 it was time for a new owner again; Mr Ralph Majors (again from California) purchased GAR 28. Unfortunately due to poor health including a series of strokes Mr Majors only remained the custodian for 2 years, it is at this point that YAJ 717 returned to the UK.
GAR 28 remained in the same ownership for the next 21 years until the late owners passing. During his tenure the specialists Cotterell Engineering of Chesterfield completed a full engine rebuild and the engine still runs beautifully today having covered a minimal amount of miles since this point.
This very original 25/ 30 is offered in excellent condition, the main colour is a deep shade of blue running from front to back, the long swooping wings are finished in black, as is the roof, swage line and wheel disks. There is a light grey coachline running along the centre swage line, which highlights the lines of the Rippon body.
A large fitted Hercules Motor Trunk is mounted to the long sweeping rear, allowing for extra storage and thanks to the curvature and bumpers only a few inches of length is added.
The front interior is finished in blue leather with blue carpet and piping. The dashboard is filled with all of the correct Rolls-Royce instruments, all in working order; there is a large sunroof in the front/ chauffeurs compartment, when open it really gives that Sedanca feel.
When opening the rear doors you are met by spectacular opulence; West of England Cloth, Silk blinds, heavily burred wood and revolving occasional seats… there simply is no finer way to travel.
Thanks to a lifetime of maintenance and sympathetic miles, GAR 28 handles beautifully on the road never missing a beat, in our showroom and ready for viewing.
