1969 Ford Mustang Fastback (SportsRoof) 250 4. 1 Six-cylinder with 3-Speed Hurst-Shift Manual Transmission. Finished in factory Black Jade metallic with black bucket seats and interior, Power Steering, Sports Decor group with GT500 alloy wheels and BF Goodrich Radial Tyres.
This one year only and therefore rare model Mustang has been the subject of a recent body restoration prior to its first importation into the UK in 2017 yet still retains a high level of originality. The engine bay in particular is still in stock factory order. The engine looks to have been rebuilt at some point as the 4. 1 litre 250 straight-six is super smooth and quiet and pulls strongly through the very precise Hurst-Shift gearbox. As the paintwork was faded and had painted in a pale blue, we have had it to our workshops for a full glass-out/ body strip repaint and have returned it to the original Black Jade paintwork as documented in its Marti Report that confirms its factory specification. On completion we have fitted new weatherseals, rubber trim and window seals throughout and a new dash-top. The seats had been given new OE covers and foams during its previous works in the States.
Furthermore, as part of our pre-sales checks we have fitted new rear leaf springs and shackles, replaced/ refurbished the braking system and given it a service. Although no longer required it has also been given a new MOT passing without advisories. Tax is of course free.
A super looking and driving Fastback retaining its classic factory look with a desirable manual gearbox. Don't be put off by the fact this isn't a V8 as the 250 straight-six unit performs well and not that far behind its more expensive V8 siblings. And not that is overly relevant when thinking of a classic Mustang the 250's will return a relatively good MPG.
This may not be a Boss 429 as suggested in the first John Wick movie but it’s certainly the same year and shape. However, it doesn’t carry the $250K price tag of the genuine car!
