Available both as the Nissan Cherry Europe and the Alfa Romeo Arna, British buyers failed to get to grips with the meeting of two quite different car brands, with the result that today examples of either are extremely difficult to find. This true survivor has covered 35, 977 miles from new and thanks to being undersealed and Waxoyled from new remains in good order. Very good bodywork topped-off with good paint makes this example more special while fans of 1980s extras dealer-fitted extras should approve of the lift-out glass sunroof that still has its storage sleeve. The sunroof makes the interior brighter, and it remains in very good condition. Particularly notable are the excellent-order black and green seats, whose condition is mirrored in the similar-condition door panels and dashboard. Mechanically the car is very good and it is reported to be running and driving well. MoT-tested until October 2020 it is a great example of a rare – and often forgotten Nissan model.
