1956 Chevy 3100 Big Window For Sale
The Chevrolet Task Force was Chevrolet's successor to the Advance Design trucks. The Task Force Series ran from late 1955 through 1959. The 1955 second series offered standard options and add-ons such as 12 volt electrical systems, the first V8, and fleet side beds in 1958. 1955 was the first year for new body style. New wrap-around windshield a truck industry first and optional wrap around rear window on Deluxe cabs. In 1956 these trucks had a wider hood emblem and the two piece fender emblems are mounted above the horizontal fender line. 1956 was the last year for that style of grille.
This 1956 Chevy 3100 has the desirable wrap around big back window. The truck does run and drive. It has been upgraded to a 350 chevy v8 engine with the automatic three speed transmission. The brakes on the truck have also been upgraded. It has a dual master cylinder with power brake booster. The front brakes have been changed from drums to disc. Rear axle has also been upgraded to a 12 bolt rear end. We just recently replaced the water pump, changed the oil and replaced the exhaust manifold gaskets. Previous owner said that the windshield and seal were replaced not that long ago.
The interior on the pickup is in great condition and is complete. The seat was redone by the previous owner a few years ago. The gauge cluster has been upgraded with an expensive unit. Inside the truck, the dash is all original and been uncut. Both manual windows work and go up and down smoothly. Glass is in good shape with no cracks or chips. All four wheels match. Has the good looking rally wheels. Clean title. Great truck to drive and enjoy.
