History of this car
Our car was first registered on 18/ 6/ 86 to Renault UK Ltd finished in Supergloss metallic Stratos blue with a black velour interior.
Only 341 D501 type V6 Turbos were made in RHD, and this car, chassis 02, is the earliest known example, and one of two Renault UK press demonstrators.

Our car is very original with the exception of recommended upgrades including the Europa Cup type radiator fitted with twin fans, stainless main coolant pipes, exhaust wrap and upgraded ECU and turbo.
The comprehensive history file also includes a run of MOTs and the warranted mileage is 78, 000 miles.
Body
The layered polyester body shell of the GTA is remarkably well made and our car wears an older, high quality repaint in the original Stratos blue colour. There are no marks of note and the lenses and glass are nice and crisp. The car makes for a very strong first impression overall, appearing much like a 3 year old example.
Mechanicals
Less than 10k miles have been covered since a photo documented specialist RATS (Renault Alpine Tuning Services) major overhaul including removal and reconditioning of the engine (camshaft replacement, upgraded turbo, new Valeo 3 piece clutch, refaced flywheel, Renix ECU upgrade, new Bosch injectors, new starter motor) plus a cooling overhaul (new radiator, twin fans, silicon cooling hoses, cooling ducting) and new Bosch fuel pump and works to the exhaust (Samco wrap) and braking system with new braided brake lines.
Today this GTA drives superbly well with slingshot silky smooth performance, it must have given Porsche and certainly Lotus some sleepless nights when introduced.
Interior
The GTA is a genuine 4 seater. This evocative interior is all original and in excellent condition, pleasingly light and airy with funky velour chairs and a lovely 3 spoke leather steering wheel fronting an elaborate dashboard. The GTA is very well equipped including a built in Philips entertainment system.
Boot
An excellent size and in mint condition.
