I love these little cars, no one takes any notice of them, and other drivers think it’s just a Panda, pull out to overtake after a round about, and then realise that the Panda is pulling away from them! Not so much a Hot Hatch, more of a Warm one. This one is fully loaded with all the factory goodies, and a few extras that previous owners have added over the years.
Just had a new battery, wheel bearing and rear silencer.
The first long journey I took, I managed to get 48. 7MPG, so it’s as cheap as chips to run, insure and tax. It’s been on a couple of long trips over to Ireland and the Inner Hebrides and gave no problems at all. The Air Con worked a treat and kept the cabin nice and cool, but you have the bonus of pressing the button an getting the sunroof to tilt or slide out of the way. Rear seat passengers get their own fixed sunroof (both with pull back shades)
Front and rear fogs, and Sport Mode – doesn’t give you any more horsepower, but does tighten up the steering and sharpens the throttle control. It’s a bit of fun!
There is a partial service history, some stamps in the book, and lots of recipients, especially for the all important belt change (last done 9k ago). Last owner didn’t want to sell it (but new child forced his hand) and I don’t really want to sell it either.
The not so good stuff - It’s a 2007 car, so the body work isn’t immaculate – the bonnet and front bumper has its share of stone chips, but they could be fixed very easily. The alloy wheels have a bit of kerb rash.
This is lovely little car that darts around, and can fit into the smallest of parking spaces, with a fair sized boot, and always puts a smile on your face.
If I love this car so much why am I selling it? I have another one with fewer miles and a turbo bolted on, so this one just doesn’t get used.
