Beschreibung
This is an exceptional and well known Lotus Super Seven that has been enjoyed by its previous owner since 2001. An incredible and rare car (only produced for two years) with documented race history and invoices for much recent work. Presented on a period Irish registration, this car has been in Ireland since 1977 and has been in the hands of just 3 owners.
Given that the car has spent a lot of time on race tracks, the bodywork is of a very high standard. The paint is excellent and the car has zero rust issues and no paint defects to note. The wheels are unmarked and wear nearly new matching tyres all round. The underside of the car is excellent, also. All glass, side screens, front windscreen and roof come with the car to make using in winter months easier. The car also retains its original front flared wings.
The seats look and feel excellent having had the bolsters refinished. All buttons work as they should and still retain the original embossed paint on the switch gear.
Mechanically the car is as you would expect. The car has zero sounds or rattles from the suspension which are gaz adjustable coil overs. The differential has been upgraded to a torque sensing lsd. The engine is incredibly strong and the gearbox changes seamlessly. The engine has been fully rebuilt by David Healey and bored out to 1. 7 litres with Cosworth pistons and there’s a big valve Ivor Greenwood head running twin 45 Weber side draught carbs.
Recently serviced and thoroughly gone through, this road going race car is on the button and is eligible for multiple racing series including the HRCA series in Ireland (where it is a a front runner) and the HSCC Clubmans series in the UK.
