Introduction
Here we have a simply stunning example of the BMW E36 3 Series 328 M Sport Manual Coupe. This amazing example has covered Only 65, 000 Miles. In that time it has been cared for by 2 owners, the last purchasing the car direct from BMW and enjoying ownership for 17 years.
This 328 Sport benefits from arguably the best specification for one of these, Avus Blue paintwork with a light Grey, extended, sports leather interior. This is a full face lift car, it has a superb set of the BMW BBS split rim alloys, all unmarked and polished like they were new. It has to be one of best looking 328 Sports available.

Bodywork / Interior / Wheels etc
The paintwork is finished in Avus Blue metallic. As hopefully comes across in the pictures and the video, this has a superb, deep all over shine. Looking closely, this paintwork appears to be very original. Look at the arches, look at the wings, this is obviously a very well kept example that stands out from the rest. It would stand out at any show.
The interior is Light Grey leather. This has the extended leather pack, so the leather extends to the door cards etc. Its all in excellent condition, lovely and soft, the light colour really complimenting the Blue paintwork. Its again all very original and again has clearly been looked after. The wood is free is free from the usual scratches and marks, it just has a lovely shine. Everything inside feels and looks very fresh, more like a 3 year old car than a car built in 1998 ?
The alloys factory fitted to this car have to be one of my all time favorites. The BMW BBS split rim alloys are all in excellent condition. Free from any curbing or corrosion, these again look like they are on a 3 year old car. The polished rims really stand out. Look closer and you will see the matching, nearly new Pirelli P Zero tyres all round, a clear sign this car has had the right owners.
Engine / Gearbox
The 2. 8 straight six engine runs and performs perfectly. Look at the engine bay, its been kept as clean as the rest of the car. This engine is a great unit, plenty of power, very smooth and responsive.
On this car we have the benefit of the 5 speed gearbox. The ideal combination, the gearbox on this car feels reassuringly tight and precise.
History
We have all the original manuals in their original BMW folder. We have the original BMW service book, we have a folder of MOT history, HPI clear report including mileage verification. The car has only had two owners. The first for 4 years. It was then sold through BMW to the current owner.
Summary
The BMW E36 328 Sport makes for a fantastic, usable modern classic. They have certainly come of age, they really do look fantastic now, especially in the spec this car has. Given the recent price rise of the E30 (the earlier model), the M Sport E36’s have fast becoming very sought after, with the manual M3’s and these 328 Sports becoming the ones to have. Simple to maintain and service, they shouldn’t cost too much to run. But going forward, outstanding examples like this will continue to appreciate now if properly looked after.
