1980 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow II, deriable final series chassis number model
Fresh from genuine barn storage & offered in an unrestored condition for restoration/ recomissioning
EQUIPMENT:
Hand built steel & aluminium coachwork, rear quarter badges, Triplex "Sundym" glass, Rolls Royce stainless steel wheel trims with colour coded bands, dual door mirrors, electric windows, central locking, electrically adjustable seats, power steering, centre console, front & rear armrests, front seatbelts & all of the usual Rolls Royce refinements
EXTERIOR:
Finished in Shell Grey with hand applied Navy fine lines. The coachwork is in an un-restored order & is untouched throughout. The brightwork is all complete with the exception of the spirit of Ecstasy & is again original & un-restored.
INTERIOR:
Originaly optioned with Grey leather upholstery - now fitted with Light Blue. Black top & knee roll, Light Blue carpets & Light Grey headlining. The doorcards & timbers were sadly misplaced during storage.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION:
Built with the traditional Rolls Royce V8 6750cc V8 engine mated to an automatic transmission producing an "adequate" Bhp figure. Our workshop has had her started & reports that the engine runs well & sounds wonderful.
HISTORY FILE:
This 1980 Silver Shadow II carries a highly desired 'W' registration number as she was originally registered on 12th December 1980 & is one of the final run with the '0041' series chassis numbers.
Chassis '004106' has been enthusiast owned for a number of years & enjoyed sparingly with very little mileage covered in between MoT tests. The vehicle was last road used in 2017 & was stored away in the barn at the keepers farm awaiting recomissioning until now, when the lack of space & free time sadly means he must simply allow the next custodian to enjoy the renovation procedure.
SUMMARY:
Un-restored examples of Silver Shadows are now getting virtually impossible to find as marque enthusiasts realise the rarity & appeal of one of the finest models from the marque. Optioned in a stunning & unusual colour scheme, she will continue to rise in appreciation.
