This is a smashing little replica of the famous EA Type Austin Seven, which became known as the 'Ulster'. This is a car that was rebuilt some 30 years ago to include a reproduction Ulster body by CSW Gould, in aluminium, it has remained in the same family ever since and is now reluctantly for sale. This is not a concours winning car, as it was used and enjoyed regularly by its long-term owner. It is in good condition but well-patinated, distinguishing it from the plentiful supply of over-shiny out-of-the-box replicas. It starts and drives well and all would appear to be well with the engine, gearbox, back axle and brakes. The paintwork is generally good although there are a couple of areas than need refinishing. The underside is nice and sound and the wheels and tyres are good. The upholstery is good apart from the carpets which could do with replacing. Mechanically, the car is fairly standard, although it has the benefit of dropped front axle, Bowden cable brakes and sports carburettor. The windscreen folds flat for extra speed and the leather bonnet strap makes for a very racy appearance. Comes with V5C and old buff log book dating back to 1935. This car is a huge amount of fun, for sale to a good home, serious enquiries only.
