Here is my BMW M5 3. 8 E34 5 Speed, finished in Daytona Violet with Anthracite Alcantara/ Amarreto interior - this is one of only 204 five speed models with the later S38B38 3. 8 24v engine and 340bhp - made in March 1993. This particular car has the fabled Nurburgring driving pack.
These are very rare cars - also the last of the handbuilt M vehicles. Very few 3. 8 models have survived.
This one is in show condition throughout, I bought it in March 2017 where it had been in storage since 2007, I drove the car around as my daily driver to shake down all the issues then decided it was so good it deserved a comprehensive restoration.
I've been very thorough to the works, the car owes me somewhere close to £42k (£34k spent in 2018 alone with all itemised invoices present) but this car was never about making the sums work.
The rebuild started in early 2017 then continued throughout 2018 into 2019 including an extensive fully comprehensive body restoration (fully documented).
The condition can now only be described as in outstanding condition throughout with no rust, no damage, no chips, no scratches etc etc. Again all new panels were genuine new BMW supplied, with new glass, lights and trims - all again genuine BMW supplied.
The interior is equally as stunning after a comprehensive refurbishment - again no issues,
Mechanically it is as good as I could get, also benefitting from all fully refurbished EDC shocks, all new top mounts with all fittings, all new brakes including all new brake calipers, all new discs, all new pads, all handbrake shoes, all brake rigid and flexi pipes, refurbished air conditioning with new condensor, new dryer and 2nd hand compressor, refurbished cooling system with new expansion tank and some pipework, new engine main end bearings & timing chain, refurbished alloys with all new tyres, new genuine windscreen with trims, all new front suspension arms, steering assembly, wheel bearings, exhaust, even down to small details like all new wheel bolts and much more.
It looks stunning throughout - first aid kit is still wrapped in cellophane, full took kit, even the spare wheel is as new with the original Michelin tyre fitted.
Very high spec vehicle fitted with some nice extras over a standard model. The interior is the unusual and much sought after anthracite Amarretto with Alcantara combination - this includes the full steering wheel and seats.
This example is fitted with the Nurburgring driving pack (EDC suspension and servotronic steering), also dual zone air conditioning (ice cold), electric sunroof, 4 x electric windows, electric mirrors, electric front seats, remote central locking/ immobiliser, ABS, PAS, LSD, headlamp jet wash and many other features.
I've just done an inspection 2 major service including a new battery. Valve clearances were done in mid 2017 but it's literally not been used since.
It has just been MOT'd for the first time since 2018 (with no additional work required)
The underneath is in outstanding condition with no rust or rot, anything that was required for the restoration was completed, subsequently it was been extensively cavity waxed to prevent any future issues. The engine bay is clean with a new old stock coil pack cover, various new seals, fixings and other ancillary parts, any leaks and other issues identified have been sorted out.
The mileage is sensible for 27 years old - 130500 warranted miles, this is backed up by a very comprehensive history file including the original stamped up service book which is BMW main dealer until is went into storage in 2007, all the paperwork invoices and most of the old MOT's back to new - a huge file of paperwork detailing the whole history. Originally supplied by Bridgate BMW in Derby.
It has all the tool kit is present, all the keys including the master torch key which is in working order, the white glovebox torch is also present and in full working order too.
These are the last of the handbuilt M5's and don't come up for sale very often. It is a great investment as so few were made and even fewer remaining - these E34's were the last of the handbuilt M5's. Overall a very pretty vehicle in amazing condition and not to be missed.
Only for sale to free up space as i've also got 3 other M5's and now a Lotus Carlton has caught my eye.
