i have had the car checked over by the local mercedes specialist (nigel scrace @ capel car services) who has rectified any faults including new engine mounts and rear trailing arms. He gave the car a major (36, 000 mile) service including spark plugs, air and oil filter, oil change, pas oil and filter and gearbox oil and filter. A new under bonnet insulation was also fitted.
finally, i have also just had brand new rear screen fitted as the minor delamination let the car's appearance down.
in summary this must be one of the best early w124 300ce coupes available which has been fully prepared to enjoy this summer.
