It's the sharpest and fastest GTI yet, with boosted engine performance, chassis, suspension and aerodynamic revisions and a limited slip diff.
This is a 6 speed manual version in Urano grey.
Powered by a 261 bhp turbo charged 2 litre 4 cylinder unit, this GTI will actually boost to 286 bhp for 10 seconds if you floor it in 3rd gear or above.
Exclusive 18" 'Quantara' alloy wheels with red brake calipers featuring the GTI logo. A revised front splitter and Bi Xenon headlights, the GTI tradition is continued with the red stripe running extending across the honeycomb grille and there's a red GTI badge too.
Inside you are treated to an retro 'Golf ball' gear knob and multi function Sports steering wheel, both finished in black Alcantara with red stitching.
The Alcantara and leather Sports seats feature Titan black and Flash red inserts, 'Honeycomb 40' decorative dash inserts, stainless steel sill trims and red-edged mats.
This Golf features technology you could have only dreamed of in a 1976 Mark I; auto headlights with dynamic cornering, adaptive cruise control (including autonomous braking and forward collision warning), climate control, parking assistance, navigation, DAB radio with external AUX socket and USB socket and mobile phone connectivity.
