Sitting between the Escort and the Sierra in the Ford line up of the mid-80s, was the Orion – a best of both worlds 3-box-saloon that offered a surprising level of standard equipment and, if you were lucky enough to have a high spec Ghia model like this one, the same 1. 6 engine layout from the sporty XR3i.
This 1987 Mk2 3-owner example has a remarkable 43k miles along with a full service history and is in wonderful original condition.
The Diamond White bodywork and the refurbished Pepper Pot wheels are sharp and there are no signs of rust anywhere up top or underneath.
Being a Ghia, there is a sunroof and front electric windows along with an upgraded factory-fitted sound system with separate dash-mounted amp!
The 1. 6 engine and 5-speed gearbox make a surprisingly quick (and beautiful sounding) package, and coupled with the responsive handling, makes this a fun and very rewarding car to drive.
