Beschreibung
This great little Austin Healey Sprite was restored and built for competion in the early 1980s by a family who went on to own the car for 30 years. Since then it has had only 3 owners. It was intended that the car should be used for endurance rallying, and indeed, it did compete in the Land's End to John O'Groats 'Le Jog' run. As far as we know, it is fitted with a Stage 3 1293cc engine with Mini Cooper 'S' spec head, Omega pistons and tightened flywheel. It has full harness seat belts, roll cage, heavy duty roll bar, ventilated discs, rear telescopic shock absorbers, Minilite-type centre lock alloys and works-type hard top. The rest, you can see from the photographs. We think the car would make an ideal contender for hill climbs, sprints and club racing, subject to eligibility. It would also make an ideal track day car or just use it on the road. Comes with V5C, history file and MOT to May 2021.
