Description
Bought new in April 1966 by a Miss Hill. She owned and cared for this Sprite for 60 years until she sadly passed away earlier this year.
The mileometer shows 37, 000 miles which I can’t guarantee as I can’t confirm it with her but it’s believed to be very likely true as she married and as a couple they used his Morgan and she later bought her own Morgan and in later life had a small modern for every day use.
She had the body fully restored in 1998 as it was showing its age. This included new floors and inner and outer sills, plus any other areas needed then fully repainted in it’s original Old English White.
New carpets were fitted otherwise the interior is original and still in remarkable condition. The hood even looks original but is showing its age.
A new tonneau has just been fitted.
Due to lack of use the last few years it’s been totally gone though which included replacing all the brakes, wheel cylinders, master cylinder, etc.
A full service with new hoses both fuel and water. Plus replacing and improving anything necessary, this all done by a ex Rolls/ Bentley engineer who inherited the car so his is only the second name on the registration document.
As you can see from the photos this Sprite presents very well but the best part is how it drives. It reminds me of how a new Sprite drove back in the day, everything is light and precise, it’s an absolute pleasure to drive and I’m sure you will enjoy it too.
The history includes the original dealer invoice in 1966 for £670. 00
Plus original green log book, original handbook, photos of the body restoration and invoices for the parts in the recent recommission work.
