2013(63) MORGAN ROADSTER WILDMOOR HAWKE EVOCATION
Finished in Morgan Royal Ivory with black leather recaro trim, complemented by black everflex sidescreens and roof plus ebony black knock-on wire wheels. Two private owners from new and has covered an extremely low mileage of only 1300 miles.
This car was commissioned by its owner and was professionally built by Wildmoore Hawke who are the manufacturers of this car. It was SVA/ IVA tested on 7th August 2013 and is correctly registered in the V5 as a Wildmoore Hawke Sports. It was then registered at DVLA on 15th November 2013. The build started in 2011 and was completed in 2014 and the car was delivered to its only owner in Feb 2014. The car has only been driven in dry weather, has always been carefully warmed up and never been raced. It has also been stored in a garage under a dust cover throughout its life.
We can confirm that only 145 Hawkes were ever produced and some of these were sold abroad to Turkey, Norway, Sweden, France, Belgium, Spain, Germany, The Netherlands, South Africa and even the USA. So very few right hand drive examples such as this car are available for sale. It is reported that the kit for this car was one of the very last produced.
The kit alone costs £20400 to purchase and we estimate that the cost and build of the vehicle together must have cost in excess of £30, 000. The car has been built using mostly new parts or reconditioned parts as necessary. Many Morgan parts have been used in the build including the leather steering wheel, s/ steel luggage rack, Smiths gauges, door mirrors, torpedo lights, wire wheels etc.
The first service was carried out at 500 miles in August 2014 and the second at 970 miles in Aug 2015. The vehicle is fitted with a 2 litre i Ford Zetec engine with set up throttle bodies and ECU tuned to produce 186bhp. It also has a Ford Zetec 5 speed gear box and Sierra rear axle unit, adjustable shock absorbers, sports side exhaust, 4 point harnesses and rocaro seats.
The history folder includes the original car catalogue from Hawke ‘drive the dream’, spec sheet, number plate authorisation, certificate of newness, exhaust emission documentation, DVLA documentation, invoices, adverts regarding the Hawke, parts listing, correspondence, full build instructions, images of the car being built, technical drawings’ and diagrams, original Morgan sales brochure and a Book by John Worrall and Liz Turner on Morgans. The Hawke is light and fast and offers raw driving pleasure. She starts first time and has a lovely sporty and loud exhaust note. The car is a real head turner and always draws attention when it is out and about. We believe this is a real treasure and a breed of car that is gaining recognition momentum.
