First registered on 8th December 1976, this really excellent MGB has been in the ownership of two families only, and we believe the mileage of 46, 000 to be correct. The last ownership was for 32 years. The car has just been fully recommissioned and MOTd, having been off the road for some 15 years, hence the low mileage. The condition of the car is very, very good indeed and it would appear to be all original panel work. The sills, castle sections, wing seams and underside of the car are all very good with no rust issues. The paintwork is old, original and good, with a few blemishes. The interior is again, clean and tidy, with good seats and headlining, the front carpets in the footwells could do with being renewed, but they are not bad. This is one of the nicest MGBs we have ever driven, probably because it is so original and drives just as it should. As far as we know, the car is as it left the showroom, specification-wise, apart from the new(ish) alloy wheels. The tyres have covered hardly any miles, exhaust and battery are good. The car drives very well indeed, with good overdrive and nice gearbox, in fact, we can't find anything wrong with this car apart from a slightly erratic fuel gauge. Paperwork includes the original Austin Morris 'Passport to Service', the car having been supplied by Armstrong Massey of Market Weighton, East Yorkshire. V5C, MOT to July 2021.
