Description
This two-owner car was first registered on 1st January 1978, so was built in 1977. The second ownership has run from 1997 to present. It has been meticulously maintained and there is a large, comprehensive history file of receipts, old MOTs, tax discs, Heritage Certificate and original Manufacturer’s ‘Service Passport’ and handbook both in their original wallet (the car was supplied by Armstrong Massey of York, and there is an original bill of sale). There is also a workshop manual. The car is very original indeed, and the overall condition is very good, with just a few age-related blemishes. It has been in regular use and therefore, everything is working well – it has proved to be very reliable. Unlike many Stags, this car has its original 3. 0L V8 Triumph engine, which not only sounds terrific, but also delivers a goodly amount of power! Driving this car is a great experience – it is very smooth, including in the overdrive, and there are no strange noises. The engine is very responsive with good oil pressure and no overheating. The excellent bodywork is finished in a marvellous 70s colour – Russet Brown – with a complimentary light tan interior, all in good order. The hood, again is in excellent condition and folds away neatly into its storage area. A rear wind deflector screen has been fitted and this adds to the pleasure of driving. Original Stag wheels in good order, with good tyres and good exhaust. Low mileage at only 85, 000. MOT to August 2021, V5C.
