This has been my second 75, I bought this car at the end of last year and it’s been an absolute joy to own. I’ve now got a new electric car on the way, meaning it is time for this car to find itself a new owner who will enjoy it as much as I have!
This top of the range Contemporary SE example includes equipment highlights such as full leather sports seats, highline instrument pack, rear parking sensors, and nice sounding CD80 radio plus Harmon Kardon sound system with subwoofer in the boot.
The car is also fitted with Cruise Control, a somewhat rare option on 75’s.
The usual 75/ ZT pain points have been seen to on this car: It has the much recommended in-line thermostat upgrade, so it gets up to normal operating temperature as expected. The corrosion prone rear upper suspension arms have also been previously replaced. There’s absolutely no water ingress through the boot or rear lights either, the car is bone dry and stays dry even in heavy rain.
I’m hard pressed to find fault with this car, in fact the only issues I can think of are very minor, they are that boot mounted CD changer and driver’s heated seat do not work. Other than that, every other feature of the car works as it should, even the air conditioning blows ice cold. A previous owner has tastefully fitted USB ports into the dashboard, very handy for charging a phone or fitting a dashcam.
The engine pulls well and the gearbox is silky smooth. I had new tyres fitted all round back in February. It’s a lovely car to drive and even puts the much more modern Jaguar XE I had several years ago to shame.
Current MOT with no advisories runs until 30 December 2020.
Well-kept examples of 75’s are becoming rarer by the day, especially in this rare colour, desirable engine & gearbox combination and at this price!
