Description
This Capri had a full body-off restoration over a few years up to 2015, when the mileage was 4, 897 (presumably plus 100k) and it has now just passed 9, 000.
Colour is lovely Ford mineral blue.
MOT until end of August 2021 with no advisories.
Engine and 5-speed box were completely rebuilt with many new parts. I was told a better camshaft was fitted but haven't been able to verify this except that plenty happens when accelerating!
Bilstein front struts refurbed.
Quaife rear diff.
Full twin powerflow stainless exhausts (maybe a little sporty for my taste but everyone else loves the sound)
RS wheels, including spare.
Steel sunroof works well.
Outside all in good shape. Inside there are still a few items to improve in due course; no radio fitted, but there are speakers; tailfgate struts are not quite strong enough to hold up; top of dashboard cracked in several places (a common issue - but Capri club do a superior replacement); indicators work fine but tend not to self-cancel; clock runs slow!
There is only limited paperwork from the restoration but an extensive photograohic and spreadsheet record to hand on.
