The R129 marked a huge step forward in design and innovation over the R107 SL, and this very early and very desirable example in Pearl Blue metallic is simply superb.
Built in 1990 and with just 67k miles, this 500SL scores excellently in all departments.
The two-tone paint, bodywork, hardtop, soft top (including new rear window), glass and wheels are all excellent, as are the black leather interior, carpets, dashboard, wood trim and door cards. There is also the reassurance of a rebuilt roof module.
Mechanically, the car has recently had new wiper motor, springs, brake callipers and AMG wheels and tyres which look absolutely stunning. The 5. 0 V8 engine has just been fully serviced by ourselves too, and has the benefit of being a pre-cat engine which is more powerful than the later 500SLs.
The car is complete with its book back, service book and two keys.
The R129 is becoming increasingly sought after, and this wonderful low mileage 500SL has the benefit of now being classic in Ireland.
