The car has just come back from having had some work carried out in the Heater box / bulkhead area which was taken care of by The SL Shop. They also waxoiled around the Heater box.


The Mercedes-Benz 420SL arrived in 1986, introduced for the last three years of R107 SL production. This 4. 2 litre naturally aspirated V8 engine replaced the 3. 8 litre 380SL, offered alongside the larger 5. 0 litre V8 and six-cylinder 3. 0 300SL until 1989. The 420SL production numbers were just 2, 148, making it the most elusive of all R107 SL models.

Being a 1988 car means this SL has the much sought after Galvanized body, this beautiful car would be a great addition to car collection or as a usable weekend/ highdays and holidays car.
