Volvo S60 2. 0T petrol, automatic, low mileage at 72100 miles. The Volvo has just been serviced and has a full years MOT, with no advisories. I bought the car last month, after it had been sat in a garage for 3 years. The owner had moved to Spain, and left the car in a wooden garage. The owners daughter kept the car running in the garage and moved it in and out. Once the owner decided he wasn't coming back, he left her the car, however the insurance was too expensive for her, and she has sold it to me.
The car did need work to recommission it, as the nearside brakes were both binding, and the ABS light was on.
I have carried out the following work on the car -
All 4 brake calipers replaced with new OEM items
Brake fluid flush, and system filled with fresh brake fluid
ABS sensor rings replaced
New handbrake shoes, and handbrake adjusted
New front tyres, Avon ZV5
New front wishbones to pass MOT
New windscreen as original was cracked
Brand new floormats as originals were worn
Oil and filter service, vehicle inspection and book stamped, carried out prior to MOT
The previous owner fitted new brake discs and pads all round, and new front wheel bearings before it's hibernation.
The car drives extremely well, there is no knocks or rattles from the suspension. It steers very well, stops very well, and the automatic gearbox is very smooth.
The car has an unmarked black leather interior, with very comfortable seats. The driver's seat has electric memory adjustment. There is a 4 disc CD changer in the head unit, and the stereo has Dolby surround sound, and sounds amazing.
The car had service history stamps up to July 2013, at 62442miles, and I have a large file of receipts, and owners manual. The previous owner was a mechanic to trade and carried out the services personally, however as you can see from the mileage from then until now, it wouldn't need much.
The car doesn't have any dents as I had a paintless dent removal company sort out a couple of little car park dings, and there are some minor scratches on the paintwork commensurate with age.
Overall the car looks great, it's a beautiful colour as seen in the images, with the metallic Scarab Green sparkling in the sunlight, and is subdued when it's dull. I machine polished the vehicle to make sure it looked great and to let the paintwork shine. The car also benefits from a towbar and electrics, and would make a great towing vehicle.
