1999 Honda S2000
Brooklands Cars are delighted to present one of the earliest and lowest mileage S2000’s on the market currently, with only 7500 miles.
The Honda S2000 was the successor of the 1995 Honda SSM. the SSM was a notable participant at the Tokyo Motor show of that year. This concept had been developed by Italian design house Pininfarina. The design of the S2000 that we all know and love was penned by Daisuke Sawai and carried the namesake of the Honda S- series motorcars.
Production of the S2000 started in 1999 at the Takanezawa Plant, designating these early cars as the ‘AP1’ model and then carrying through to the ‘AP2’ that concluded a decade later.
?The recipe of a front mid-engined sports car remained majorly unchanged throughout the production run, always featuring the short 2400mm wheelbase and the two litre, four cylinder DOHC VTEC engine, that screams to its famous 9000 rpm redline.
This motorcar, in particular, had been imported from japan in 1999 under instruction to get the earliest S2000 available, after being registered it passed onto the owner who had it for 12 months and passed it onto the next custodian, who lovingly owned the car for the next twenty years, averaging only 375 miles per year.
Maintenance was carried out by the owner throughout the years, and MOT’s are present to authenticate mileage.
A timewarp interior with an unmarked black and grey interior throughout, retaining the original honda radio, that has been adapted to receive FM radio. The black mohair hood is in great condition as seen. The boot space follows this trend with the addition of the tool kit, Japanese owners manual and UK owners manual to match.
The exterior bodywork is superb and original paintwork throughout, all panel gaps are as per factory. The motorcar also retains all original stickers within sills, bonnets and boot lid.
The appropriate plate ‘S200O MY’ is included in the sale.
