Although manufactured in the early Eighties and featuring a 'time warp' Panasonic car phone kit, this Porsche 928 retains an up to date look with pale grey bodywork that is complemented with a black leather interior. The look is further enhanced with alloy wheels. This automatic version of the classic German tourer fired up immediately when requested and it is a joy to drive.
Porsche unveiled the 928 model at the Geneva Salon in 1977 and received the prestigious Car of the Year award the following year. Originally intended as a replacement for the long running 911, this new model featured, for the first time in a Porsche production model, a V8 engine. The new car achieved weight saving with the fitting of aluminium doors, bonnet and front wings and featured pop up headlamps which were integrated into the front wings. The modern look of the new model was completed with impact resistant bumpers made of colour matched plastic that were incorporated into the nose and tail.
