A mk1 Ford Escort that I have been hanging onto for a while now. Its gathering dust in storage, and I need the space.
If its still here in a months time then it will be going straight into my workshop and on the spit for fresh paint and then re-advertised with a higher price accordingly.
Right so, its a 1100 L model, 3 owners only on the logbook! Low miles, and a real time-capsual!
The shell has had very little welding in its life, hardly anything at all, just a floor pan and bit to the rear end.
Previous owner started to bare metal it. There is no filler anywhere at all. No dents or botches to the shell.
The brightwork looks to be pretty good as well.
Fitted with a pair of genuine Mexico front wings, I do have the originals here- just need minor repairs taken care of.
Interior is all original, rear seat doesnt look to have ever had a passanger. The front drivers seat has a rip/ tear to it.
Engine was fitted a good few months back. Running sweet, before it was removed for body work/ prep to begin.
Its a 1300 engine, and looks like a GT lump too.
The car still retains its original 12" steel wheels and hub caps!
I belive all the parts are here and are included, but not certain (if there is anything missing it will only be minor bits).
Car is partialy stripped, i. e. the interior and engine are loose in the car, bumpers have been removed etc.
Very nice and rare colour too on one of these.
Basiacy the escort needs some minor patches of welding (just tidying previous repairs realy), then a coat of paint and putting back together again.
Would love to keep it, its one of the best shells I have come across, and these are solid investments, wheather they are restored or in bits!
