Introduction
Here at Old Colonel Cars, we have a superb, extremely low mileage example of the BMW E30 320 Convertible. This August 1990 example has covered only 48, 000 miles, making it one of the lowest mileage examples available. You would struggle to find a more original example, all original panels, no welding. Look underneath this car, it clear this superb classic has been garaged when not in use, there is no rust on this example.
Specification
This BMW comes with a lovely specification, including very rare Air Conditioning which still kicks in and out as it should, Power steering, ABS, Electric windows, Electric mirrors, Switchable Sports automatic gearbox, 15 inch BBS Alloys, Remote central locking / alarm, rear headrests, BMW Check computer.
Bodywork / Interior / Wheels etc
The bodywork on this example is finished in 1 of the all time best BMW colours, Delphin Grey Metallic. The paintwork is in excellent condition and as you can see looks superb, with a deep all over shine. Look at the wheel arches, all solid metal, there are no rust bubbles, this car has obviously been very well cared for. The chrome bumpers look great with this paintwork, a superb looking classic.
Look underneath this car, all original and sills, jacking points. There is none of the normal surface rust, it really is quite amazing. Look under the bonnet, all original and again not even surface rust on the brackets etc. The front wings have never been off this car, still have the factory seam seal, which is getting so rare now.
The interior is finished in Cream Sports leather, giving the interior a real quality feel. This is all in excellent, original condition, Look at the seats, look at the door cards, a superb interior. A perfect dash, perfect deep pile carpets, original overmats.
The alloys are all in excellent condition, free from any corrosion, curbing. The tyres all have plenty of tread remaining.
Engine / Gearbox
This BMW features the super M20 2. 0 straight six engine. With only 48, 000 miles and excellent maintenance, this engine runs and performs excellently. Look closer and you see how good this engine presents, all hoses, all gaskets, soundproofing, all in amazing condition.
This BMW has the switchable automatic gearbox. This again performs as you would expect for the low mileage. Very smooth and responsive, with sports mode giving you just a bit more response.
History
We have a lovely, full service history. We have all the original manuals, an original service book, a folder full of old MOT’s, service receipts. It also benefits from a full VOSA mot history and a full HPI clear report including mileage verification. This BMW also benefits from all the original keys, 2 alarm fobs, full toolkit etc.,
Summary
The car comes with an MOT until November 2021, no advisories.
You would be hard pressed to find genuinely lower mileage example, more solid E30. Prices for E30’s are rising and an original, rust free convertible with this mileage and history, should prove a solid investment going forward.
Driving this E30, its such a tight, rattle free example. Super smooth and responsive engine and gearbox, so relaxing with the lovely BMW straight six engine note.
